Planes of Fame held their first Valle event of the year in beautiful weather. The EAA Chapter 856 contingent began arriving at around 8am to cut lettuce, tomato, and onions to go with the burgers and hot dogs that we would be selling. We arrived to find the Ford Trimotor taxiing out and not one but two P-51s and an F4-U Corsair on the ramp. During the day, the warbirds and Trimotor made several flights with paying passengers and also for flight demonstration and photo opportunity.
